BS 7799 Part 2: 2002 Certification
CI(UK) is Accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to provide certification to BS 7799 Part 2: 2002.
BS 7799 is the most widely recognised security standard in the world and it defines the specification for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The British Standard BS 7799 was first published in 1995. It provided a code of practice for the implementation of security controls to protect information within both commercial organisations and government departments. In 2002, Part 2 of the standard was revised to bring the format in line with existing management standards such as ISO 9001, including use of the standard Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) process model as used in ISO 9001. In addition, Part 2 of the standard was renumbered to be consistent with the numbering used in ISO/IEC 17799.
