Certification International team don running shoes for charity
A team from Certification International has raised nearly £1,000 for cancer research by taking part in the Race for Life.
Taking part in the 5km event, to raise money for Cancer Research UK, at Lydiard Park on Saturday June 9 were Emma Fawcett Jones, Beki Byers and her daughter Caitlin, Hayley Mines, Aija Dabola and Roxy Rea. Aija was the first member to cross the line in a time of 29 minutes 27 seconds. Everybody in the team finished the course in less than 55 minutes. To date, the Certification International team has raised £700.
Certification International UK Business Manager Emma Fawcett Jones comments: “The weather was pretty horrible but that didn’t put people off, and there were lots of people lining the route cheering us on. The whole event will raise close to £200,000 and we’re proud to be contributing to such a worthwhile cause. We’d still like to reach our target amount of £1,000 and are thankful to everybody who has supported us so far. Every pound raised will help the fight against cancer.”
