 OHSAS 18001:1999 Certification
The occupational health and safety [OH&S] management system specification OHSAS 18001 has been designed to help organisations establish and maintain a system of management to improve the welfare, health and safety of employees at the workplace.
As OHSAS 18001 is not yet recognised as a standard, there is no scheme of Accreditation in place at present. However, OHSAS 18001 specification is accepted throughout the world and has been developed to be compatible with ISO 9001:2000 (Quality) and ISO 14001:1996 (Environmental) management systems.
