Certification International - Philippines
Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP) was incorporated under Philippine law in 1995 and is an affiliate of the British company Certification International U.K. Ltd.
Since the start of its Philippine operations, CIP has certified more than 900 Philippine and multinational companies who are leaders in their respective industry or service sectors. Whether large or SME, our customers represent a wide cross section of Philippine business. Also among our customers are government agencies and government corporations.
In 1997, CIP was the first certification body in the Philippines to be accredited for its Quality Management System certification services by the national accreditation authority BPS Accreditation Scheme (BAS, now named PAO or Philippine Accreditation Office) of the Department of Trade and Industry. Additional accreditation was later conferred on CIP for its Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000) and HACCP certification services. Being accredited means that CIP can demonstrate to its customers its rigorous and consistent compliance to ISO and International Accreditation Forum requirements governing the integrity, independence and competence of auditing and certification services. CIP’s certification methodology provides value to its customers by helping them ensure that their management systems operate effectively as a guide for achieving their organisational performance goals. These certification principles and emphasis in customer service have contributed to the strong reputation and credibility of CIP in the Philippines.
As part of its commitment to the growth and success of its customers, CIP has supported the national effort of further raising quality and productivity by exposing these companies to the Philippine Quality Award scheme and its criteria.
CIP’s parent company in the United Kingdom is accredited by the British accreditation authority UKAS for its certification services in quality, environmental, information security, and food safety management. It functions as, among others, a development center for the continual improvement of state-of-the-art certification services that all CI offices in various countries and regions extend to their customers.
Apart from U.K. and the Philippines, CI services are available in Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Italy, Turkey, Argentina and other locations in Asia, Europe, and South America.
